What has changed
The Netherlands Authorities “Immigratie en Naturalisatie Dienst” (IND) has published the salary thresholds for 2019.
Beginning January 1, 2019, new salary threshold requirements will be applicable for the following applications; applicants aged thirty (30) years and older, applicants younger than thirty (30) years, specific higher institution graduates, and Blue Card applicant
Who is affected
Employers must ensure that their employee’s salary meet the minimum threshold to be eligible to apply for a work and residence permit or submit an extension application.
What to expect
Summary of New Salary Thresholds for 2019:
The new salary thresholds are applicable for new applications for local hires, assignees (when outside the scope of the EU ICT Directive 2014/66/EU) or extension applications, received by the IND beginning January 1, 2019.
