This visa can lead to a permanent visa (subclass 100 or subclass 801). You must be in a genuine relationship (married or de facto) with an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.

Prospective Marriage Visas

For individuals outside Australia who plan to marry their prospective spouse who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. You and your prospective spouse must be engaged to be married, have met each other face to face and plan to marry after arriving in Australia on a subclass 300 visa. This visa allows for a stay of 9 months from the date of approval.

New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship Visas

This temporary visa allows a person who is not a New Zealand citizen but is a member of a New Zealand citizen to live and work in Australia for five years. You must be a family member of a New Zealand citizen who is living in Australia on a special category visa subclass 444.
